Q: Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your experience at the Annual Meeting?
A: I was a bit embarrassed that attendance for several of the History Superstar presentations was so scanty. Perhaps this was because of competition from the other tracks that addressed “best practices.” I would like to see the balance shift in favor of historical content. Phil Brigandi’s RAMONA presentation should have been SRO. Sad.

The price disparity between full registration and one day registration was way out of whack. I would personally like to see a return to the format where attendees have the option of choosing and paying for the individual agenda items that they wish to attend. The present format is too much like cable TV.

Q: Next year, what topics do you hope to see at the Annual Meeting?
A: Including the “History Superstars” track was absolutely inspired. I would hope this would be part of next year’s annual meeting ( &all the conferences). Kudos to whomever selected the presenters; they were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and articulate. The opportunity to engage in dialog between presenter and audience came as close as I can recall to achieving the symposium ideal. Perhaps arranging the seating in a circle would enable more “give and take” between presenter and the audience, and between audience members themselves and presenter.
