Contra Costa County Historical Socty Annual Meeting & Holiday Luncheon

Exploring Concord's Past

Join the Contra Costa County Historical Society on December 2nd for their Annual Meeting and Holiday Luncheon.  See the newly remodeled Concord Masonic Temple, now officially the Concord Museum and Event Center.
This year’s program explores two important elements of Concord’s past and a slice of what its future holds.  Special guest Lloyd Crenna will present photographs and answer questions about the fascinating move of the Concord Masonic Temple.
Guest Speaker John Keibel will follow with an illustrated presentation of his book Behind the Barbed Wire: History of the Naval Weapons Station Concord.  Have you ever wondered what went on behind the barbed wire fence?  This story is an intriguing one:  an intricate web of life and loss, national defense and protest, scientific advance and obsolescence.
Saturday, December 2 - 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
