History talk and book signing with author Dan Hanel.

The Contra Costa County Historical Society invites you to its next Author in the Archives Series on Saturday, September 16^th.   Author and educator Dan Hanel presents an illustrated talk about his book In The Shadow of Diablo: Mystery of the Great Stone House. 

Enjoy hearing Dan talk about his novel which alternates between a local teacher’s present day adventure and the historical accounts of the brutal murder of Dr. John Marsh, one of the most important figures in Contra Costa County and California history.

Dan’s talk begins at 1:00 pm.    Book signing to follow immediately.

Admission and parking are free. Refreshments will be served.
