Do you have any historical photographs or visual materials of the Tahoe area? If you do, or if you’d just like to learn more about the archival resources that document this community’s rich history, come visit the North Lake Tahoe Digitization Day this summer. This one-day event offers a chance for community members and visitors to bring in historical visual materials documenting the region and have those materials digitized according to professional archival standards. In return, participants will have the option to donate a digital copy of these materials for inclusion in the NLTHS’s database, providing public access to anyone interested in researching North Lake Tahoe’s cultural history. In addition to the digitization services, the program will offer presentations by historian Carol Jensen, photographer Peter Goin, and photograph archivists Kimberly Roberts and Katrina Windon.

The event will be held at the Gatekeeper’s Museum in Tahoe City. Parking will be available in the Museum’s lot and nearby at the Bank of the West at 150 W Lake Tahoe Blvd. For those without a car, the Tahoe Area Transit Center is within walking distance, just south of the Fanny Bridge.
